One minute, things are great. The next, you never know. I am late in writing this newsletter because well, life happens. This weekend, I drove my son to a friend’s birthday party. I texted him to see if he was having a good time and he replied, Yes!
About 3 minutes later, I received a call saying that he had been bitten in the face by a pitbull dog and was being taken in an ambulance to the medical center. He will be okay but has significant wounds that will leave scars and require reconstructive work.
The reason I am sharing this with you is to remind us all that life is short. We are not guaranteed the status quo and you never know what is around the corner. Appreciate the good, relish the happy times and be thankful for your health. It is all a gift and I have certainly been guilty of taking it for granted.
Go make it a great day and let the people you love know that you love them. If you are holding a grudge or have written someone off, be sure that is how you would want it to be if things were different in a flash.
