What’s New

I don’t know about you, but I tend to visit the same restaurants over and over. I am going to make an effort to branch out a bit this Spring. Here are a few places that I have recently tried or have on my short list to visit.

West U Area: Norigami:-A small sushi restaurant with a speak easy behind a hidden door. I tried this recently and was pleasantly surprised for a restaurant in a strip center. Great drinks and delicious bites.

Something Sweet: Cocoa Cookie Bar– 11138 Westheimer

Cookie flavors change every week. These seem like a fun thing to bring to dinner at a friend’s house or the office.

Eado Area: Eadough– This is a hidden gem in the Eado neighborhood. It is run by a talented Indian executive pastry chef. The brown sugar cookie latte is a must!

Wine Time: The Library- Located in Spring Branch at 8510 Long Point Rd. This is another strip center spot that will surprise you. A great wine list with delicious light bites.

Let me know if you have any hidden gems for me to add to my list!

SPRING IS HERE!

Happy Spring! 🌷 Here are 5 Tips to Spruce up Your Garden:

1. Clean out your beds: get rid of all weeds

2. Revitalize the soil: Add organic material like compost

3. Trim old plants

4. Add mulch: to keep moisture in the garden and maintain temperature

5. Add new flowers and shrubs: lean towards planting more perennials rather than annuals so you don’t have to replace them every year!
