The Hunt

If you don’t think your kids are competitive, have an Easter egg hunt. I have always dreaded and then loved the hunt. It’s a pain to buy, stuff and hide the eggs. I always think I’ll save the ones from this year to use for next. It hasn’t happened once.

The older kids have an advantage and a disadvantage. They can swoop through the yard and get every egg in 30 seconds. The hard part is that they are expected to share their hard hunted eggs with their younger siblings. In retrospect, this is funny to me. Their brains are hardly more developed than their siblings. But, guess what, butter cup? You better man up and turn over the eggs!

The most exciting egg to find is the Golden Egg. It’s supposed to have the best stuff inside and is hidden in a more difficult spot.

Sound familiar?

When you think of whatever your golden egg in life is, I bet it is harder to find and takes more work to crack it. Personally, I’d rather have one golden egg than 20 mediocre eggs. That’s why I’m comfortable with hard work and challenges. The satisfaction of finding the precious golden egg in life is worth more hours, more sacrifices and staying the course.

I’ve seen many kids get soooo close to finding the golden egg before they quit. It was right under their nose. All they had to do was keep going.

No matter what your golden egg of life is, chances are, it’s right under your nose.

Don’t quit. Keep Hunting.

MARKET STATS

Undaunted by rising mortgage interest rates and a record low supply of homes across Greater Houston, consumers kept the local real estate market in positive territory in March. While new listings are entering the market each week, buyer demand has consistently outpaced that supply, and multiple offers on homes continues to push pricing into record territory, solidly positioning Houston as a sellers’ market. HAPPENING IN HOUSTON

Baseball is back! The Astros home opener is tonight at Minute Maid Park vs. the Los Angeles Angels. First pitch is at 7:10pm and they’ve asked fans to “orange out the juice box!”

Can’t make it tonight? They’re playing at home all week! I linked the schedule here!

SPRING CLEANING

Houston has had such high levels of pollen this spring – it’s everywhere! Tired of looking out dull/ dirty/ pollen-covered windows? I saw this AD article on How to Clean Your Really Grimy Windows and thought I would share.
