Huge Fan

I’m just now getting this week’s note out because I was fortunate enough to cheer on The Astros in NYC over the weekend. We have huge fans! I can’t help but think this is motivating to our awesome team.

On the other hand, NY has huge fans until they don’t. I was shocked when the stands were booing their own players for striking out or making an error. The stadium started to empty out during the 6th inning at the first game. Even the NY fan that was traveling with us got up and left. Our tickets were pricey the first game and were around $50.00 the second game. The huge Yankees fans were shrinking. It never occurred to us to leave since anything can happen in baseball!

In life, how do you decide what level of support

you will offer?

We must get better outcomes from those who have huge fans, no matter what. I want to be one of those support bras you see on a mannequin at Target that seems capable of holding up the world. If someone is striking out in life, they are sure to continue to do so if they are booed each time they try and fail. Wouldn’t it be natural to stop trying?

I am flying home with a new awareness of the support I offer to those around me. I want to be a huge fan to those I care about without them being afraid I’ll leave in the 6th inning. Where do you need more support in your life?

Go Astros!

MARKET STATS

Across the country, the number of homes selling above the list price dropped 14.2% between August 2021 and August 2022. With higher interest rates we are seeing fewer bidding wars driving home prices upward.

HAPPENING IN HOUSTON

Houstonia released this list of The 50 Best Restaurants in Houston. I’m sure it was no small feat to narrow that down!

I was shocked how many of these eateries I have never tried. I will definitely be choosing something from this list next time I am stumped with where to go!

DESIGN TRENDS

The most searched architectural style on GOOGLE over the past years in major cities around the US is….

MID CENTURY MODERN (by far!)

Second was ‘Modern Architecture’.

For interiors, BOHO was searched most….Bohemian styles are defined by a lack of structure, opting instead for carefree layers of pattern, texture, and color. (Architectural Digest)

CURRENTLY I’M…

… supporting the ‘stros! It has been so much fun watching the Astros in the post season over the last several years. This is the Astros’ 6th American League Championship Series in 6 seasons, and their 4th World Series! Tickets to upcoming games linked here!
