Hello Spring!

Today is the first day of Spring. I love firsts of all kinds. There is an excitement that can only be captured the first day or time we experience something. A new year, new week or season gives us a fresh start. If your New Year resolutions didn’t get off the starting block, here is your chance to give it another shot.

While new years and seasons are obvious times to begin again, I try to remember that each hour and minute are opportunities for us to reset. When I catch myself in a negative mood, I know I’m a single decision away from a fresh perspective.

One of my favorite quotes about spring is:

“You can cut all of the flowers, but you cannot keep spring from coming.” -Pablo Neruda

I like this quote because it reminds me that no matter how hard or dark things seem to be, light is sure to come. Don’t wait for someone to bring you joy. Plant your own garden and trust that the seeds you’ve been planting will result in a beautiful garden of happiness.

MARKET STATS

Buyers are returning. The 62% jump in showings from December to January is one of the largest on record. There were also more showings in January than in any other month since last May.

HAPPENING IN TEXAS

The Round Top Antiques Festival Spring Show is underway through April 1.

The antiques show is the largest of its kind in the country, stretching over 11 miles on either side of Texas State Highway 237.

I always find amazing additions to our staging inventory, gifts, and unique goods. If you’ve never been, GO!

CURRENTLY I’M…

Getting that barista crafted coffee feel at home. I’m loving this milk frother and steamer from Amazon.
