Are You Jumbotron Ready?

Are You Jumbotron Ready?

Over the weekend, the internet lit up over a now-infamous moment at a Coldplay concert.

A couple — very much not supposed to be a couple — got caught mid-cozy moment on the jumbotron. The camera panned, the crowd cheered, and then… instant awkwardness. The man pulled away like he saw his boss, his wife, and his tax auditor all at once. And now? The memes are on fire. People are obsessed. And the internet detectives are on the case.

While I truly wouldn’t wish that kind of public unraveling on anyone… you’ve got to admit: there’s something a little fascinating about it. The boldness. The carelessness. The “surely no one will notice us in this massive crowd of thousands” mindset.

But it got me thinking…

What if your life was suddenly broadcast on a jumbotron? Not the highlight reel you post. The unfiltered, unscripted moment. The places you go. The people you’re with. The things you say when you think no one’s paying attention.

Would you be proud? Or would you instinctively pull your arm back and duck behind a drink?

In a world where everything could be screenshotted, overheard, reposted, or tagged — there’s something to be said for living in a way that’s jumbotron-ready.

  • Are the people you spend time with the kind of people who lift you up?
  • Are the places you hang out in alignment with the life you’re building?
  • Would your behavior in the quiet moments hold up in the spotlight?

It’s not about being perfect — it’s about being intentional.

And yes, everyone makes mistakes. But there’s a certain kind of peace that comes with knowing you could be caught on the big screen at any moment and not have to panic about what’s showing.

So here’s a little challenge for the week: Ask yourself what it would look like to be proud of your life if it were suddenly front and center.

From the company you keep to the conversations you have, from the relationships you nurture to the reputation you carry — let’s all aim to be a little more jumbotron-ready.

Because you never know who’s watching… or which Coldplay song will be playing in the background when it all goes down.

Here’s to living your life like someone is watching — and being totally good with that.

XX,
