Spring Is Served!

Your Spring Championship Season

Lately, my screen time has been dominated by one thing: competition. Between March Madness nail-biters and the Men’s Clay Court Championship in town, I’m fully immersed in the world of brackets, buzzer-beaters, and baseline battles. There’s just something about this time of year—spring energy meets fierce competition—that makes you want to lace up your shoes (or metaphorically get your life together) and go after something big.

And it hit me: why not treat spring like our own personal championship season?

Spring has always been about renewal—flowers bloom, the sun shows up for longer shifts, and we all feel a little more alive. But it’s not just nature that gets a fresh start. You do, too.

Forget January and its cold, unrealistic resolutions. Spring is the real New Year’s Day. You’ve had a few months to get your footing, maybe stumble a little, maybe coast a little—but now’s your chance to reset, reenergize, and recommit.

Think of your own “championship title.” It doesn’t have to be a literal trophy (though I’m not above handing myself an award for “Most Improved Bed-Maker”). It could be:

  • Parent of the Year (as judged by your dog)
  • CEO of Your Side Hustle
  • Gold Medalist in Daily Walks
  • World Champion of Saying “No” to Things That Don’t Serve You
  • MVP of Finally Starting That Thing You’ve Been Talking About Since 2021

Whatever it is, you don’t need a bracket to get in the running. You just need a little clarity, a little courage, and the mindset that you’re in it to win it.

Here’s how you can make your own run for the title:

  1. Pick Your Goal – What would feel like a huge win for you this season? It can be personal, professional, or even just emotional.
  2. Start Small, Start Now – Champions aren’t made in one game. They train, show up, and stay consistent. Pick one small step and take it today.
  3. Play to Your Strengths – You already have tools and talents. Use them. Don’t try to copy someone else’s playbook.
  4. Call in Your Team – Even solo sports have coaches. Let your people cheer you on, hold you accountable, and remind you how far you’ve come.
  5. Celebrate the Wins Along the Way – Every bit of progress counts. Clap for yourself, even if it’s just for showing up.

The Ball Is In Your Court

If the energy of all these tournaments tells us anything, it’s that greatness doesn’t just show up. It’s chosen. It’s worked for. It’s claimed. So go ahead—make this your season. Plant the seeds, take the swings, and compete for the life you want.

The crowd may be imaginary, but I promise it’s roaring.

XX,
