And The Oscar Goes To….

Life requires a little acting from time to time for everyone. Thats where the term, “Fake it till you make it” comes from. Put yourself in the role by acting until you become the role you are playing. That is what all of the truly talented actors do. We hear them talk about staying in character the entire time they are filming a movie so that they can really become that person. 

I think we can all take a cue from that. Wish you were happier, then act happier. Wish you were more successful, then act like a successful person. Wish you were more fit, then act like a person who pursues fitness. The idea is that eventually you will be whatever you are pretending to be. You will become the character you are playing. 

When I first became a real estate agent, I acted how a successful and experienced agent acts. I learned as much as possible, studied the market, knew the homes that I showed like the back of my hand and was confident. Within a couple of months, I was experiencing success and still continue to grow my business every day. It isn’t an act anymore but I started by playing the part until I was the part that others wanted to play. Fake it ’till you make it and live the role you want in life!
