Better Late Than Never | Mondays with Marnie

I usually write this newsletter on Sunday nights. It’s part of my rhythm, my reset for the week. But this time, life got in the way—and suddenly I found myself much later than planned. I debated skipping it, but then I remembered: it’s not about being perfectly on time, it’s about showing up.

So here I am, showing up a little later than usual.

How often do we talk ourselves out of doing something because we feel like the “right time” has already passed? We don’t start the workout plan because January 1st has come and gone. We don’t call a friend because it’s been “too long.” We don’t pursue a goal because we feel like we’re already behind.

But timing isn’t always what matters most. What matters is that we take the step at all. The impact comes from the action, not the timestamp.

I recently heard about a woman in her 60s who went back to school to finish the college degree she started more than 35 years ago. Some people might say it was “too late.” But she proudly walked across that stage, cap and gown on, and proved that it’s never too late to finish something meaningful.

Whether it’s writing a newsletter, starting a new habit, reconnecting with someone, or pursuing a long-paused dream—remember:

It’s better late than never.

XX,
